Dial-up

Sun Jul 16, 2006, 6:48 PM
Sorry to everyone for not making comments for the past couple of months. My wife and I bought a house. It is great, but a high speed internet connection is not avaliable in the area (it's a little out in the country). For now we're stuck with dial-up internet which makes is near impossible to look at pictures.

I'm looking into some unconventional high-speed internet options since DSL and Cable are not avaliable. Sattelite internet is fast, but it's like 100 dollars a month.

There are not even any businesses that have free Wi-Fi near this city (Chuckey, TN). If I make it to the library I'll hopefully get caught up on what's been going on.

okay... so I hit the link in your signature, endured the shock and horror of viewing your gallery and succumbed to its mind bending subliminals and was forced to click on the devwatch button...

:shakefist:

just kidding! :w00t: a gallery like this warrants continual monitoring. So, this is your official notice: I WILL be WATCHING!

Ooo, what does this button do? :pointandlaugh:

It's like, when you're skiing up a lamppost and your breaks give out, how many light bulbs does it take to change your mind? You'll never know because ice cream has no bones! :giggle:

I checked out that 18-180mm lense that you mentioned. Looks good. I think lense with that kind of focal lenght would be quite ideal for me as well. Although, as far as I know Canon have one. I guess I could always try Sigma, Tokina, or Tamron. Canon just released this lense 24-105mm, would be the most ideal lense from Canon's own catalogue (althought I kinda wish it would go a bit wider, i.e. to 17mm. I wonder if they left on purpose to 24mm..), but it's bloody expensive, being part of the professional L series. Maybe if I win in the lottery. First I should start taking part, though;)
